Beware of shelf life. It says it has a 12 month shelf life. I received this on 3/30/2026 and the production date was 04/29/2025 so I have less than 30 days left of shelf life according the the packaging. This came as the gun clear packaging with the foam thrown in a clear bag that kept it as a sale together package. Both cans were dented with the larger foam can concerning me as I know how big of a mess these pressurized cans can make if they burst. I wasn't planning on doing the project that I ordered this for until next month and I'm concerned it won't work like it should by then or may not have enough propellant left. I received this as a vine item so I may have received an older can on purpose. just make sure to look at the date on the can when you receive it so that you can send it back if it is too old. The whole reason I prefer using foams in the gun like this is the ability to use it more than once vs the cans that never seem to seal once you start using them. The gun: I previously had a "Great Stuff" gun that I gave to a friend and compared to it, this seems much cheaper. This one comes with plastic tips or tubes that can be swapped and may give some initial flexibility, but will eventually need to be replaced. You cannot clean the tip without removing it and once removed, it will not stay in place because the end has a hose barb design to it. Typically, you want to spray cleaner through the gun and then spray the tip and wipe it off. you won't be able to get all the foam out while the plastic tip is on and without it, it leaves an irregular shape that will be hard to clean. On my other gun, the tip had a smooth curve with no crevices to it so you could just wipe it off or scrape it off if you forgot to spray it with cleaner. This bun is also fully plastic other than the tube, tip, valve pin and can attachment. It may last for a short project but I doubt you will have this for many projects without replacing it.
I ordered this Foam Bond 60 Polyurethane Adhesive Kit to repair water-damaged rough cedar paneling in a hard-to-reach location — I needed something that would apply precisely and set quickly. The adhesive delivered on both counts. The problem isn't the product itself; it's what the seller/manufacturer sent me.At $48.50 for the single-can kit, I was hoping to get more than one use out of it. The can states a 12-month shelf life, but the expiration date printed on it gives me roughly 10 days from the time I received this. I completed my repair with a significant amount of product remaining and had planned to save it for a bathroom remodel starting this summer. That's not going to be possible. I won't risk using an adhesive well past its expiration date on a project that matters, which means I'm effectively paying nearly $50 for a single use. A conventional construction adhesive would have served me just as well at a fraction of the cost. Online sales should not be how a manufacturer — and in this case, the seller and manufacturer are the same — offloads product that's about to expire. That's the reason for three stars, full stop. The adhesive itself, however, performed well. I've used other foaming adhesives before, but this was my first experience with this style of applicator, and I was impressed. It took a couple of practice sprays to get a feel for the output volume and speed — both are substantial — but once I had that calibrated, placement was accurate and controlled, with no overspray or excess product. The trigger mechanism gave me far more control than a button-top applicator. Hooking up the can was simple and intuitive. The cleaner worked excellently as well, which means the applicator could absolutely be saved for future use — if the expiration date weren't a factor.Working time is short, so preparation matters: have everything fitted and ready before you apply. On smaller projects there's a brief window to reposition if needed, but larger work would require getting placement right the first time. The set is fast without being instantaneous — more controlled than rubber cement, less forgiving than construction adhesive.I can't yet speak to long-term durability, but the bond feels solid and the repair looks good. If you can confirm the expiration date before purchasing — and verify you'll actually be able to use the whole can — this is a quality product worth considering. Just don't assume you're getting fresh stock.
I used this adhesive for a light DIY project and one of the first things I noticed was how quickly it begins to grab. The fast set time is helpful when positioning foam panels or trim pieces and not wanting to hold them in place for too long. The consistency was workable and it spread well enough for controlled application. It seems best suited for projects where quick bonding is more important than having a long adjustment time. Because it sets fast, you need to plan placement before applying.Overall, this looks like a useful option for foam board, wall paneling, and similar remodeling projects, especially if you want a quicker hold than standard construction adhesive.
Really good quality, I like that the part where the can screws in is also made of metal. Works great, it has the narrow tip where a straw can push on to fit into small gaps.I also really like that it comes with the cleaner to get the gun all cleaned out. I’ve had so many guns get wrecked because people take the can off without cleaning it and foam dries in them. The foam also seems to be good quality, I’ve used a lot of Tytan foams over the years and this is similar to them. Tytan is by far my favorite brand for can foam. The value is good, it might seem expensive but you get what you pay for.
Item packaged very well and includes everything you need.I will update after applying this product to report
