I ordered this sprayer from vine for a few projects around our home. This sprayer worked well for our project’s needs and if cleaned out properly immediately after use, it can be used on other projects. I appreciate the ergonomic handle design as it makes sprayer easier to handle since it’s lighter weight than metal handle sprayers. This feature helps my smaller arthritic hands have less fatigue while using sprayer. I also appreciate the ability to control flow speed of foam since it helps me with better accuracy and an improved aesthetic foam look when foaming job is finished. I know this is considered a basic or entry level sprayer with less functions than the premium sprayers out there, but I’m pleased with its quality and performance and lightweight feel as it helped me get some needed home projects done well without relying on my spouse’s help.
I previously had a "Great Stuff" gun that I gave to a friend and compared to it, this seems much cheaper. This one comes with plastic tips or tubes that can be swapped and may give some initial flexibility, but will eventually need to be replaced. You cannot clean the tip without removing it and once removed, it will not stay in place because the end has a hose barb design to it. Typically, you want to spray cleaner through the gun and then spray the tip and wipe it off. you won't be able to get all the foam out while the plastic tip is on and without it, it leaves an irregular shape that will be hard to clean. On my other gun, the tip had a smooth curve with no crevices to it so you could just wipe it off or scrape it off if you forgot to spray it with cleaner. This bun is also fully plastic other than the tube, tip, valve pin and can attachment. It may last for a short project but I doubt you will have this for many projects without replacing it.
I just finished buying multiple cans of spray foam to seal some large gaps in my concrete floor that were letting in radon. I thought to myself.... boy... I should get a foam gun with larger cans to save some dollars! This foam gun is definitely smaller than others I've used, and smaller than expected. It also has less metal and more plastic on it which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But considering the cost, it's only 5 or so more dollars to upgrade to a more normal sized one that will likely last longer. But if you're looking to save some money as a homeowner and are not using something like this frequently, this would help to reduce your spend. It is a universal fit for foam canisters, which is great considering I try to avoid being locked into anyone's ecosystem. I'm glad they designed it thus without forcing a purchase of the same brand's foam.
This foam applicator gun is similar in design as others I’ve used. It’s made of plastic and has a hollow bottom design, which might look unusual compared to more solid metal-style guns. That said, it still feels fairly sturdy in hand and holds up well during use. The adjustable flow control works as expected, allowing for more precise application when needed. It’s also lightweight, which makes it easier to handle for longer jobs without fatigue.Pros: Lightweight, adjustable flow control, feels sturdy despite plastic buildCons: Plastic construction, hollow design may feel less premium
I’m really impressed with this foam gun. It has a solid, durable construction that feels like it can handle a lot of wear and tear, yet it’s surprisingly lightweight. I used it for a long project over the weekend and didn’t experience any of the usual hand fatigue. The ergonomic design and the back screw make it very easy to handle, and the adjustable flow rate is a game-changer for precision—no more wasted foam. Plus, it's very cost-effective since you can just clean it with the TYTAN Universal Cleaner and reuse it. Highly recommend if you want a professional tool without a massive price tag
